Bridport men have been depleted by injury and ill health this week but still managed to field two County league teams. Bridport were away to Melcombe Regis in Weymouth where you play the green as well as the players. Taylor, Kennedy, Tibble and Langdon had a runaway win of 28 shots to 9. Scott, Rumble Smith and Jones shot into the lead but dropped nine shots in the last three ends so losing by just 3 shots. The overall score was equally disappointing with Bridport losing by one shot so gaining just the 2 points for a winning rink.
Bridport A were away to Lyme Regis. The team of Crimp, Coram, Griffiths and Bartlett were the only winners. Duthie-Jones, Greenfield, Stone and Wilson picked up 7 shots in the last two ends but still lost by 4 shots. Again just 2 points for Bridport A.
The ladies were also unsuccessful at Lyme Regis in the County League, losing on both rinks so no shots points this week!
